Beyond its history, Le Coq à Juliénas has become an institution. In some 100 years, it has brought together winegrowers, Michelin-starred chefs, artists from Lyon and Paris... as well as a large and eclectic clientele. Their common point: lovers of eating well and drinking well! From the Beaujolais bistro from the beginning of the 20th century, the restaurant has retained its imposing “zinc”. Its wrought iron decorations are Art Deco. As for the artist "Alain Girel", he left his mark on it by creating a unique ceramic, a true ode to Beaujolais!
His life is dedicated to the culinary arts, to the territories that surround him, the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, and to welcoming all those who want to share strong moments in his pretty "Coq". Art of living and art of hospitality! This lady of the house, chef, is driven by the need to discover, share and make people discover...
Marie Dias is welcoming and attentive. She also imagined different spaces in the heart of "Le Coq à Juliénas" to welcome her guests. Meals with friends, family reunion, for a particular event -or just for the pleasure of getting together-, business meals where the confidentiality is essential... it will adapt to each request. In summer, the interior garden will mark its guests forever...
